Good Read: HR Magazine Reveals The Benefits Of Corporate Alumni Programs

An article in HR Magazine outlines tips for starting an alumni network, ideas on how to engage alumni and ways to connect current and former employees for networking and mentorships.

The cover story in the most recent issue of HR Magazine explains “Why Companies Should Stay Connected with Ex-Employees.” It’s a great overview of how corporate alumni programs can play a pivotal role in nurturing relationships with former employees to develop brand ambassadors, create business development opportunities, and encourage colleagues to return as rehires.

Our very own Founder and CEO Tony Audino is featured in the article, providing insights from Conenza’s 2017 Corporate Alumni Network Benchmarking Report as well as his experience starting and growing the Microsoft Alumni Network.

In the article, Tony points to the retirement rate of Baby Boomers and the shorter tenure for Millennials as the main reasons behind an increasing interest by companies in maintaining a long-term relationship with their former employees. Strong alumni relationships can be a boost to recruiting efforts in a tight job market.
